Since 2001, Materia Viva has been working to preserve cultural heritage through its conservation and preservation activities. Conservators are professionals certified by the French Ministry of Culture. The work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards.

 Conservators work on sites or in the laboratory, on archaeological to contemporary collections, and treats different materials, including
metal, ceramics, glass, and dry organic materials.

Now a true reference in the field, Materia Viva is increasing its contributions to national and european research projects. Committed to the dissemination of knowledge and the transfer of skills, its team is also dedicated to training, teaching, and welcoming interns.
